Olenex

Olenex has been providing the world with high-quality edible oils and fats from refineries located around Europe for around a decade, and has been growing from strength to strength. Recently, Olenex partnered with Vivid Resourcing to help with recruitment for a major expansion, and we were able to find some talented contractors for them. We spoke to Rodrigo from Olenex to find out how he thought things went.

 

The Requirement

Rodrigo was tasked with putting together a project team for the expansion, a €165 million move into specialty oils and fats. As part of this, the organisation had a need for people experienced with 3D modelling who were knowledgeable at operating different programs and tools; something Olenex didn’t have in-house. As a result, Rodrigo reached out to Vivid to see if we could help find the right people for the job.

 

The Solution

Rodrigo was put in touch with Grant here at Vivid to find talent for Olenex. After outlining the project and the statement of work, Rodrigo asked Grant to find some CVs of relevant candidates. Within four days, Grant was able to come back with some good options, after which they were able to create a shortlist and arrange interviews.

Grant set up the meetings, introduced the candidates to Rodrigo and then left them to an interview, always following up with a call to see how things had gone. Although there is always a risk that none of the shortlisted candidates will be suitable, in this case the job hunt was successful. Grant and Vivid have now supplied Olenex with four designers to date.

The Results

Rodrigo has been happy with the designers we have found for Olenex, as well as the process of recruitment. He praised Grant for his accuracy in scouting talent, with all the candidates having good levels of experience in the areas for which Olenex was looking. The designers have been able to help with the expansion, with Rodrigo highlighting two who had previously worked together and so had a good level of communication and worked very effectively.

Rodrigo was able to ask for specifics, such as a lower rate of pay to fit within the project’s budget, and Grant was able to adjust the talent search to account for them. Rodrigo was also impressed with how Grant was continually checking up with the candidates, which enabled him to catch any issues before they became problematic. He said he would recommend Vivid to other companies looking for help with recruitment.
