Overview: One of Vivid Resourcing’s Local Authority clients in Sheffield is seeking a Trading Standards Officer to join their team for an initial 3-month contract (with the possibility to extend).
Key Responsibilities:
Join a dedicated team of Trading Standards Officers committed to fostering a safe and fair trading environment in Sheffield, with a focus on food standards. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing a comprehensive range of Trading Standards legislation, including:
- Responding to complaints and enquiries from the public and businesses regarding food safety.
- Undertaking proactive initiatives to ensure compliance with food regulations and promote fair trading.
- Sampling food products to verify quality and safety standards.
- Inspecting local food businesses to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Investigating alleged offences to uphold consumer protection in the food sector.
