Our client is a well-established and highly respected property and planning consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering expert planning advice across residential, commercial, rural, and mixed-use developments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their close knit planning team.

The Role

As a Senior Planner, you will provide strategic planning advice to a diverse client base, manage planning applications and appeals, and play a key role in securing successful planning outcomes across a broad range of development projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing planning projects from inception through to determination.
• Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and associated documentation.
• Providing strategic planning advice to landowners, developers, and private clients.
• Undertaking planning appraisals and development feasibility assessments.
• Preparing planning statements, appeal submissions, and policy reviews.
• Monitoring changes in planning legislation and policy.
• Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the planning team where required.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

• A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• MRTPI status (or working towards accreditation).
• Proven experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or property environment.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning policy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities.
• Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
