Interim Quantity Surveyor – Local Authority | Scotland | 3–6 Month Initial Contract
I’m currently working with a Local Authority in Scotland who are looking to appoint an experienced Interim Quantity Surveyor on an initial 3–6 month contract.
This role will support the delivery of a varied portfolio of commercial property projects, including:
- Schools
- Offices
- Libraries
- Wider public sector/community buildings
Projects will include a mix of refurbishment and new build schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre and post contract Quantity Surveying duties
- Cost planning and cost management
- Preparation of cost estimates and tender documentation
- Procurement support and contract administration
- Valuations, variations and final accounts
- Supporting project delivery across multiple capital works schemes
Requirements
- Proven QS experience within construction/property projects
- Experience across refurbishment and new build environments
- Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness
- Local Authority/Public Sector experience is highly desirable
- Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
