Locum Town Clerk
Confidential Parish Council – UK
Part-Time (10–12 Hours Per Week) | Fully Remote | Ongoing Contract

Vivid Resourcing are currently supporting a parish council who are seeking an experienced Locum Town Clerk to assist on a flexible, part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Clerk looking for a fully remote position with complete flexibility, where hours can be worked at your own convenience.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as Town Clerk, ensuring the council operates in line with statutory requirements
  • Preparing agendas, minutes and supporting documentation for council meetings
  • Providing governance and procedural advice to councillors
  • Managing correspondence and maintaining council records
  • Supporting financial processes, budgeting and audit requirements where necessary
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practice

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Town Clerk or within a parish/local council
  • Strong understanding of local council governance and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload flexibly
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

Contract Details:

  • Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
  • 10–12 hours per week
  • Fully remote working
  • Flexible hours – work can be completed at your own convenience
  • Ongoing contract with potential for extension
