About the Client: Our client is working on a pharmaceutical project in Darmstadt, specialising in the installation of HVAC works.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Site Manager to oversee on-site HVAC installation works for a pharmaceutical customer. The role involves coordinating daily site activities, managing subcontractors, and working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the HVAC project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. Experience within pharmaceutical or chemical environments and the ability to communicate in German are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for on-site management of HVAC installation works
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager to deliver project milestones
• Supervise and manage HVAC subcontractors and site personnel
• Ensure works are carried out in line with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards
• Oversee installation of heating, cooling, ventilation, and piping systems
• Ensure compliance with site safety regulations, GMP standards, and company procedure

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HVAC Site Manager or HVAC Supervisor
• Strong hands-on experience in HVAC installation, including:
  • Heating and cooling systems
  • Piping and associated mechanical services
• Background working on pharmaceutical or chemical industry projects (preferred)
• Experience managing subcontractors and multi-discipline site teams
• Ability to work closely with project management and engineering teams
• German-speaking (essential for on-site coordination)
• Strong understanding of site safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Proactive, well-organised, and capable of working in a fast-paced project environment

Contract Details

Location: On-site in Darmstadt.

Duration: 12 months

Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate based on experience and qualifications.
