About the Client:
Our client is the main contractor (EPC) for the project relating to a greenfield 980 MW HVDC Substation being built to connect offshore wind power to the mainland of Germany.
Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking an HSE Site Manager/Supervisor profile with strong knowledge of HSE on construction sites to join the greenfield project for the construction of a High Voltage substation to lead the HSE onsite. The ideal profile is an expert in HSE with experience on any-type of construction site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all site HSE activities and act as the primary HSE representative.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all project teams and contractors.
- Develop, implement and maintain project HSE documentation and management plans.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and workforce safety briefings.
- Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE requirements.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
- Prepare regular HSE reports and performance statistics.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with construction, commissioning and project management teams to ensure safe project delivery.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience as an HSE Site Manager/Site Supervisor on a Construction project.
- Expert with HSE requirements for construction sites in Germany.
- English speaking, ideally German speaking.
