Housing Officer

Title – Housing Officer Hybrid 
Rate – Competitive
Length of Contract – 6 Months
Start Date – ASAP
Location – Central Scotland 

We’re looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join our team and manage a diverse housing management patch. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated housing professional who enjoys a varied role and is passionate about delivering outstanding services to residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage rent accounts and take early intervention action to minimise arrears.
  • Investigate and manage Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases through to resolution.
  • Deliver effective tenancy management, including tenancy audits, breaches, successions and sustainment.
  • Manage allocations, property offers and void-related activities.
  • Carry out regular estate inspections and address neighbourhood and environmental issues.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, stakeholders and partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with housing legislation and policies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Housing Officer or Housing Management role.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Rent recovery
    • ASB case management
    • Allocations and lettings
    • Estate and neighbourhood management
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and case management skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied workload independently.
  • CIH Level 4 qualification is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (where required).
