We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Development Manager to join a well-established Housing Association in the North West of England. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on delivering high-quality, affordable homes and building sustainable communities across the region.
The Role:
As Development Manager, you will:
✅ Lead and manage housing development projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
✅ Identify and secure new development opportunities, assessing financial viability and securing necessary funding.
✅ Build and maintain strong partnerships with local authorities, landowners, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
✅ Ensure compliance with planning regulations, funding requirements, and sustainability standards.
✅ Manage budgets, risks, and project timelines, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery.
✅ Support and mentor junior team members, driving a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
About You:
We’re looking for a driven and results-focused professional with:
✔ Proven experience in housing development, property development, or project management.
✔ A strong understanding of the North West housing sector, including planning policies, funding mechanisms, and affordable housing regulations.
✔ Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive positive outcomes.
✔ A passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable housing that makes a real difference to local communities.
✔ A full driving license and flexibility to travel as required.
