Normal Working Schedule: 5 days per week (flexible to part time should you need, remote working flexibility pending the stage of the project)

About the Client:
Our client is an Engineering client specialised in Civil works for Industrial clients (oil & gas, energy, FMCG factories etc..) with more of a focus on foundations and concrete works for brownfield and greenfield civil works.

Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a Work Preparator/Werkvoorbereider to immediately join a project in Rotterdam to work on the Concrete & Foundations package for a large greenfield factory build.

Key Responsibilities:

• Join a team of work preparators/werkvoorbereiders for the main contractor for the Civil Works, working on a large greenfield factory build project.
• As a work preparator/werkvoorbereider, you will be focussed on the Concrete and Foundations package worth around €10 Million and expected to go on for 12 months.
• The design work has all been completed by the client and engineering team of the main civil contractor and they are ready for the next phase of the project (build phase).   
• You will follow all the standard werkvoorbereider tasks to ensure the construction managers can continue their jobs seamlessly by getting everything in place on time, ensure all is planned and arranged, order/purchase the materials and equipment and ensuring it arrives at the right time for each phase.
• Help to prepare financial reports, making the project costs transparent, ensuring all activities are prepared based on procedures, make risk analysis for each phase, preparing effective & detailed working methods, work plans, working schedules and time schedules, and elaborating on each of these for the preparation phase of each stage of the project, ensuring procedures and guidelines are followed.
• Draw up work instructions, ensure the inspection of materials and the equipment is checked, maintaining contact with commissioning team, co-ordinating with subcontracts, keep contact with the client to ensure they are constantly updated and discuss any changes to the project/contract, plan for each stage and ensure all the concrete and foundation work is done in accordance with procedures and guidelines.
• Implement the safety plan from the risk analysis, ensure all subcontractors have a good safety plan and that it’s delivered in time.
• Keep up to date with all reporting – the plan and designs are very clear and so major changes to any of the project timeline/plans are highly unlikely.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience as a Work Preparator/werkvoorbereider on Civil projects (ideally focussed on Concrete/foundation packages).
• Experience working on industrial sites/projects is a bonus.
• English & Dutch speaking.
