Job Title: Interim Valuation Surveyor
Location: Scotland
Duration: 3-4 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking an Interim Valuation Surveyor to join a local authority team in Scotland. The primary responsibility will be to assist with asset valuations across a range of public sector properties, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records for the authority’s property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct asset valuations for a diverse range of properties within the local authority portfolio.
- Assist in the preparation of valuation reports and provide advice on property-related matters.
- Support the team in maintaining compliance with relevant accounting and valuation standards.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate data collection and reporting for asset management.
- Provide ad-hoc support and expertise as required during the valuation process.
Key Requirements:
- Ideally, a Registered Valuer with relevant professional qualifications (RICS or equivalent), although not essential.
- Previous experience in conducting asset valuations for local authorities or public sector organisations is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of valuation principles, methodologies, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
