Structural Engineer – Offshore Platform Transportation & Installation
Location: Rostock
Contract Length: 6–12 months
Start Date: Flexible — any time within the next 2 months
Hours: 40 hours per week
Language Requirements: English required; German is advantageous
About the Project
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support a major offshore platform transportation and installation project based in Rostock, Germany. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile offshore engineering environment working on complex heavy transport and installation activities within the energy sector.
The contracting entity will be Neptun Smulders and engagement terms will be based on the existing agreement with Neptun Werft.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural engineering analysis related to offshore platform transportation and installation
- Review and develop calculations, technical documentation, and engineering reports
- Support load-out, sea fastening, lifting, transport, and installation engineering activities
- Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with offshore industry standards, client specifications, and safety requirements
- Participate in technical reviews and project meetings as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Structural Engineer within offshore, marine, heavy lift, or energy projects
- Experience with offshore platform transportation and installation activities is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and offshore engineering methodologies
- Ability to work independently within an international project environment
- Fluent English communication skills required
- German language skills are considered a plus
