Normal Working Schedule: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day, 5 days per week)
Project: Greenfield 980 MW HVDC Substation build project.

About the Client:
Our client is the main contractor (EPC) for the project relating to a greenfield 980 MW HVDC Substation being built to connect offshore wind power to the mainland of Germany.

Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a QA/QC Manager to work onsite at the project to perform the highest level quality sign offs (1/3^rd of your day walking on-site, 2/3^rd‘s of your day in the office onsite for documentation) for both the Civil and Electrical phases of the substation build.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Join the main contractor (EPC) on a large project to erect a High Volage substation as the QA/QC Manager on site.
• Your position is to be the QA/QC Manager for the whole project on-site, the project is currently in the Civil phase and the Electrical phase should start in 2-3 months time.
• 1/3^rd of your day will be out onsite and 2/3^rd of your day will be in the office onsite doing documentation etc..
• Your tasks will be all the standard highest level quality tasks including signing off site inspection sheets, co-ordinating/liasing with quality staff for the EPC, client and subcontractors, being involved in daily meetings, enforcing quality standards and procedures, updating the client on progress/issues, creating validity reports etc..
• The substation is a 980 MW HVDC offshore grid connection helping to connect offshore wind power to the mainland.

Candidate Requirements:

• QA/QC Manager experience working on substation projects.
• Experience with High Voltage projects (quality focussed) for electrical phases.
• Experience with High Voltage projects (quality focussed) for civil phases.
• English speaking.

Location: Hamburg Region, Germany
Normal working schedule: 5 days per week, 40 hours per day
Duration: 12 months (extendable)
Rate type: All-inclusive Hourly Rate.
