About the Client:
Our client is a global clean energy technology business specialising in energy storage solutions and electric mobility infrastructure, supporting the transition to a more sustainable and low-carbon energy future.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a BESS project in Brussels, Belgium. This is a client-side, coordination-focused role and while it’s not a hands-on commissioning role, a strong understanding of commissioning processes is important too.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client-side coordination of multiple EPC contractors across the BESS project lifecycle.
- Oversee onsite construction, installation, and electrical works to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Support and coordinate commissioning activities, testing, and project handover.
- Monitor schedule, quality, and HSE compliance, proactively mitigating risks and delays.
- Manage site personnel and contractor interfaces, ensuring effective communication across stakeholders.
- Provide regular progress reporting, documentation management, and issue resolution throughout project delivery.
Candidate Requirements:
- Eligible to work in Belgium as a freelancer (EU passport or Belgian residency)
- Electrical background & commissioning experience
- BESS/Solar experience is highly beneficial
- Fluent in English, Dutch is beneficial

Duration: 12 month contract
Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate based on experience and qualifications
