Site Facilities Engineer – Electrical Infrastructure
Position Summary
The Site Facilities Engineer – Electrical Infrastructure is responsible for the reliability, safety, expansion and compliance of the site’s electrical infrastructure. The role focuses on supporting the installation of new semiconductor manufacturing equipment by ensuring sufficient electrical capacity, coordinating modifications to the power distribution network, and managing electrical projects from design through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Infrastructure
· Manage and maintain the site’s low-voltage electrical distribution network.
· Coordinate electrical infrastructure modifications required for new production equipment.
· Review electrical load calculations and verify distribution capacity.
· Coordinate installation of new electrical cabling, transformers, switchboards and distribution panels.
· Ensure electrical installations comply with applicable regulations and standards.
Project Management
· Lead electrical infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning.
· Coordinate external engineering firms and electrical contractors.
· Prepare technical specifications and evaluate contractor quotations.
· Monitor project planning, budget and execution quality.
Compliance & Documentation
· Maintain up-to-date single line diagrams and electrical schematics.
· Organize mandatory electrical inspections and certifications before equipment commissioning.
· Ensure documentation is transferred into the site’s document management system.
· Support internal and external audits.
Major Projects
· Lead the implementation of a new High Voltage (HV) substation, including:
o technical specification and design review
o permit coordination
o contractor management
o acceptance testing
o commissioning
o documentation handover
Reliability & Safety
· Support preventive maintenance strategies for electrical infrastructure.
· Analyze electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
· Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures (LOTO, Arc Flash, etc.).
Required Qualifications
· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
· 5+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience.
· Experience with industrial power distribution systems.
· Knowledge of high and low voltage installations.
· Experience managing external contractors.
· Experience with technical inspections and electrical certification.
Preferred Experience
· Semiconductor or cleanroom environment.
· High Voltage infrastructure projects.
· UPS systems.
· Diesel generators.
· Power quality analysis.
