Job Title: Site Engineer/Werkvoorbereider (Concrete – Industrial Sites)
Location: Zeeland, Netherlands
Normal Working Schedule: 5 days per week (flexible to part time should you need)
Project: Multiple Construction Projects in Industrial Field (Oil & gas, Energy, FMCG etc..) focussed on Concrete/Foundations but working on other Civil aspects too.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Freelance Contract (12 months with extensions).
 
About the Client:
Our client is an Engineering client specialised in Civil works for Industrial clients (oil & gas, energy, FMCG factories etc..) with more of a focus on foundations and concrete works for brownfield and greenfield civil works.

Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a Site Engineer/Werkvoorbereider to immediately join a project in Zeeland working on a brownfield expansion for a client in the Energy field (and then to work on similar projects in the South of the Netherlands too) to work on the Civil aspects of the projects, focussed more on foundations/concrete works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Join a brownfield project for an expansion of an industrial site in the Energy sector in Zeeland initially before moving onto other projects as a Site Engineer focussed on Civil works.
• Perform design reviews, adjust drawings as needed throughout the project, working with subcontractors, main contractors/client etc.. to ensure the technical specification is inline with requirements and standards for the Civil Works Package (with a focus on foundations/concrete works).
• Perform pre-fabrication tasks, focussing on concrete works package, foundations etc.. but also working on the wider civil package when needed.
• Perform checks on the works, ensuring done up to standards, specifications etc.. as well as quality sign offs for the whole CSA package.
• Work together with PM’s, subcontractors and site supervisors, and perform technical supervision onsite ensuring tasks such as setting out & surveying ahead of concrete pouring, monitoring the concrete batching, mixing, pouring curing and testing for quality compliance etc..
• Ensuring all concrete works (including formwork, rebar placement, and pouring) adhere to drawings, structural specifications and codes/standards.
• Adress on-site technical issues, design discrepancies or logistical challenges pro-actively, solving problems before they arise.
• Create daily reports, keeping site diaries and managing project drawings/technical documents throughout the project.
• Projects will always be based on Civil works in an Industrial Environment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong experience as a Site Engineer/Werkvoorbereider on Civil Projects in an Industrial Setting.
• Strong experience with foundations and concrete.
• English speaking.

Location: Zeeland, Netherlands.
Normal working schedule: 5 days per week (can be part time if you require).
Duration: 12 Month Extendable freelance contract.
Rate type: All-Inclusive Hourly Rate.
