The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a civil engineering project in Finland, supporting the delivery of large-scale earthworks and infrastructure activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering and earthworks, who is looking to apply their technical expertise within a challenging construction environment.
You will work closely with construction managers, project teams and site personnel to support the successful delivery of earthworks operations, ensuring activities are completed safely, accurately and in line with project requirements.
Fluent Finnish language skills are essential for this role.
The Role
As a Site Engineer, you will provide technical support across site operations, helping to ensure construction activities are delivered efficiently and to the required standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support and guidance throughout earthworks and civil engineering activities.
- Setting out works and ensuring construction activities are completed accurately in line with drawings and specifications.
- Monitoring site progress and reporting on project performance.
- Working closely with Construction Managers, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical issues.
- Reviewing technical drawings, plans and project documentation.
- Supporting surveying, measurements and quality control activities.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, health and safety requirements and quality standards.
- Assisting with site documentation, reporting and progress updates.
- Coordinating with engineers, suppliers and contractors to support smooth project delivery.
- Identifying potential issues on site and supporting the implementation of effective solutions.
- Maintaining accurate records of completed works and site activities.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer with a strong understanding of civil engineering and earthworks environments.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer, Civil Engineer or similar role within construction.
- Several years of experience within the earthworks sector.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction processes and site operations.
- Experience supporting large-scale earthworks, groundworks or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
- Experience with setting out, surveying and quality control processes.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a site team.
- Fluent Finnish language skills are mandatory.
