An independent national planning consultancy is seeking a Senior or Principal Town Planner to join its growing team. Due to an expanding workload and a strong pipeline of projects, the successful candidate will work across a broad range of sectors including residential, education, retail, energy, sport and leisure, healthcare, commercial, and mixed-use development. Clients include major developers, contractors, educational institutions, and sporting organisations.
The team has a strong track record of securing planning permissions for large-scale and complex schemes, including residential-led regeneration projects, educational facilities, sports developments, and mixed-use schemes. The role offers the opportunity to work on projects nationwide while contributing to the continued growth of the team.

Key Requirements
- RTPI-accredited degree or equivalent relevant qualification
- MRTPI qualified or working towards submission within the next six months
- Experience across a range of planning sectors
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of the UK planning system
- Experience preparing and managing planning applications
- Commercial awareness
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues
- Collaborative approach and ability to contribute to team growth
