A client of ours is currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support a major long-term project involving a high volume of operational and construction activities in Italy.
This is a key planning role responsible for the development, coordination, and management of detailed project schedules across multiple phases of delivery, ensuring effective alignment between project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Key Details:
- Role: Senior Planner
- Location: Initially Castelletto, Italy, transitioning to a project site near Pavia (subject to confirmation)
- Contract Duration: Until September 2028
- Working Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week
About the Role:
The successful candidate will take ownership of project scheduling activities, ensuring robust planning, monitoring, and reporting across a complex, large-scale programme. The role will require close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery milestones are met and project performance is effectively tracked and communicated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
- Coordinate planning activities across multiple workstreams and operational teams
- Monitor progress against key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines
- Identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where required
- Produce planning reports, progress updates, and schedule analysis for stakeholders
- Support project controls, forecasting, and change management processes
- Work closely with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Ensure consistent application of planning standards and reporting requirements across the project lifecycle
Requirements:
- Must hold an EU passport or Italian permanent residency
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Proven experience as a Senior Planner on large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6
- Experience managing complex schedules with high operational activity volumes
- Strong understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and scheduling best practices
- Data Centre project experience is highly desirable
