About the Role
A leading global technology services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Deployment Strategist to help enterprise customers successfully plan, coordinate, and execute complex technology deployments.
This role sits at the intersection of customer strategy, technical delivery, and program execution. You will work across customer stakeholders, technical delivery teams, project and program leadership, architects, engineers, and subject-matter experts to translate business requirements into practical deployment strategies and ensure solutions move efficiently from planning through implementation and operational readiness.
The ideal candidate combines strong customer-facing consulting skills, technical understanding, strategic thinking, and delivery expertise. You should be comfortable operating in complex enterprise environments, managing multiple stakeholders, identifying deployment risks, and developing clear execution plans for technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own deployment strategies and implementation plans for complex enterprise technology initiatives.
Work directly with customers to understand business objectives, technical requirements, existing environments, and deployment constraints.
Translate customer requirements into clear deployment roadmaps, technical workstreams, milestones, and dependencies.
Coordinate across engineering, architecture, professional services, project management, security, cloud, and operations teams.
Act as a strategic point of contact throughout the deployment lifecycle, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and technical delivery.
Identify technical, operational, resource, security, and timeline risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Establish deployment sequencing, dependencies, environments, testing requirements, cutover plans, and operational readiness criteria.
Facilitate technical and business discussions with senior customer stakeholders and internal leadership.
Ensure deployment plans account for integration, data migration, security, networking, infrastructure, application dependencies, and operational support requirements.
Track progress against deployment objectives and proactively communicate risks, blockers, and changes.
Support the transition from implementation into production and ongoing managed services or operations.
Develop and maintain deployment documentation, architecture considerations, implementation plans, RAID logs, and executive-level reporting.
Help standardize deployment methodologies and identify opportunities to improve delivery processes.
Support pre-sales and solutioning activities where deployment strategy, implementation approach, or delivery feasibility needs to be assessed.
Manage multiple concurrent customer engagements while maintaining a high level of customer service and delivery quality.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in technology consulting, technical program management, deployment strategy, professional services, solutions delivery, or a related field.
Experience working with enterprise customers and complex technology deployments.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments and technology delivery processes.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical and deployment plans.
Experience managing multiple technical workstreams and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of project dependencies, risks, milestones, and implementation methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable presenting to both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, application modernization, data platforms, or managed services.
Familiarity with networking, cybersecurity, DevOps, automation, and enterprise infrastructure.
Experience with large-scale transformation or multi-phase deployment programs.
Background within a systems integrator, managed services provider, consulting organization, or technology services company.
Experience developing deployment strategies for complex, multi-vendor environments.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, ITIL, or other delivery methodologies.
Experience supporting pre-sales, solution architecture, or customer solutioning.
