About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team during a period of transformation and increased workload. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can work independently with minimal supervision while supporting key finance activities and process improvements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in monthly financial reporting, driving improvements in finance procedures, and supporting the implementation and optimisation of new finance systems and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Deliver additional management and financial reporting as required.
• Assist with improving accounting procedures and strengthening financial controls.
• Support finance process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to ongoing finance transformation projects, including the implementation and optimisation of new systems and tools.
• Work collaboratively with finance leadership while operating independently on day-to-day responsibilities.
• Support accounting activities across multiple legal entities where required.
• Provide guidance and informal support to junior members of the finance team when appropriate.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information and timely reporting.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Qualified or qualified by experience Accountant.
• Significant experience in a Senior Accountant or General Ledger Accountant role.
• Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Experience improving finance processes and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Fluent in both English and Dutch.
• Experience using ERP systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technology.

Desirable

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or Microsoft Navision.
• Experience supporting finance transformation or ERP improvement projects.
• German language skills would be considered a strong advantage.
• Previous experience within an international or multi-entity environment.
