Job Title: Scaffolding Engineer

Normal Working Schedule: 45 hours per week (9 hours per day, 5 days per week)
Project: Expansion and modification of existing renewable product refinery to significantly increase production capacity for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel.

About the Client:
Our client is the main contractor (EPC) for the project relating to the expansion and modification of existing renewable product refinery to significantly increase production capacity for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel.
Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a Scaffolding Engineer with a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and good knowledge of Dutch Laws and Guidelines for scaffolding as well as scaffolding systems from Peri & Lahyer (or similar).
Key Responsibilities:
- Join the main contractor (EPC) on a large project in Rotterdam for the expansion and modification of existing renewable product refinery to significantly increase production capacity for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel as a Scaffolding Engineer.
- The client need someone who knows the Dutch laws & guidelines for scaffolding to ensure scaffolding onsite is in line with these.
- Perform design reviews of the Scaffolding and structural engineering onsite.
- Walk through the project site, looking and touching to check the scaffolding is in line with designs as well as dutch laws and guidelines, approving when you’re happy with them.
- For any scaffolding onsite which isn’t quite in line with the designs and Dutch laws/guidelines, you will need to make small calculations and design changes to ensure it’s in line, then passing this over to the subcontractors and supervisors to put this in place, before checking again.
- For any larger scaffolding issues onsite, you will create full new designs to resolve.
Candidate Requirements:
- Civil/Structural Engineering Degree
- Strong knowledge of Dutch Scaffolding laws and guidelines.
- Knowledge of Lahyer and Peri scaffolding systems (or similar).
- English speaking.
