Project Management Team Lead – Aerospace

About the Role
An established aerospace manufacturer based in the Lake Constance (Bodensee) region of Southern Germany is looking for an experienced Freelance Project Management Team Lead to support the delivery of complex aviation programmes.
You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, ensuring project milestones are achieved, and maintaining high standards across engineering, production, and stakeholder management.
This position requires an initial onsite presence for the first few weeks to ensure effective onboarding and alignment, followed by a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple aerospace projects through the full lifecycle
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory frameworks
- Drive improvements in project execution and team performance
- Provide regular progress updates and reporting to senior stakeholders
Key Requirements
- Proven background in the aerospace industry (essential)
- Strong experience in project management and team leadership
- Track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary programmes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English (required)
- German language skills are a strong advantage
- Familiarity with aerospace certification and regulatory processes is desirable
- Ability to work effectively in an international, matrixed environment
Working Arrangement
