Electrical Project Leader (Medium Voltage Infrastructure)
Location: Boom, Belgium
Project Locations: Within a 50km radius of Antwerp
Work Pattern: Approximately 70% office-based / 30% site-based
Language Requirement: Dutch (Mandatory)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Leader to manage a portfolio of medium-voltage infrastructure projects across the Antwerp region.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical infrastructure and proven experience delivering projects within roads, tunnels, waterways, and other public infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will oversee projects from planning through execution and commissioning, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
The position is primarily office-based from our Boom office, with regular site visits to projects located within a 50km radius of Antwerp.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead medium-voltage electrical infrastructure projects from initiation to completion
- Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and manage risks, variations, and technical issues
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Support project handover and final documentation
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Project Leader, Project Engineer, or Project Manager within electrical infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of medium-voltage electrical systems
- Experience delivering infrastructure projects such as:
- Roads and highways
- Tunnels
- Waterways and locks
- Public infrastructure projects
- Utility and distribution networks
- Strong understanding of project planning, stakeholder management, and contractor coordination
- Comfortable balancing office-based project management with regular site presence
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Requirements
- Dutch language skills are mandatory
- Experience with medium-voltage installations and infrastructure projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driving licence
- Willingness to travel to sites within a 50km radius of Antwerp
