Our client is a globally recognised industrial manufacturer operating within the sustainable materials and bioproducts sector. Operating across multiple international markets, they support the delivery of large-scale industrial manufacturing and process facilities, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to support a major industrial manufacturing project based in Eastern Germany. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising production processes, supporting operational performance, and ensuring efficient plant operations throughout the project lifecycle. This is a site-based role requiring strong process engineering knowledge and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic industrial environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and optimise production processes to maximise plant efficiency and performance
• Analyse operational data and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Support commissioning, start-up, and ongoing production activities where required
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve production issues
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Prepare technical reports, production documentation, and performance evaluations

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Production Engineer within industrial manufacturing or process industries
• Experience working on chemical, pulp & paper, biofuels, biocommodities, or related process plant projects
• Fluent English required; German language skills beneficial
• Strong understanding of production processes, process optimisation, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced site environment

Contract Details:

• Location: On-site in Eastern Germany
• Duration: 6-month initial contract
• Start: August 2026
• Working Hours: 40-50 hours per week
• Rate: Negotiable
• Status: Freelance Contract
