About the Client:
Our client is a specialist engineering organisation operating within the energy sector, delivering large-scale infrastructure and power projects across Europe. They are currently in the planning phase of a major project and are looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced Power Systems Engineer.
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support the planning and development of a major energy project. Working remotely, you will provide technical expertise across power systems engineering activities, supporting the wider project team during the early project phases.
This role offers a fully remote working arrangement, 40 hours per week, and the opportunity to join a long-term project at an early stage. Candidates with proven High Voltage (HV) experience are preferred for an August start, although candidates without HV experience may be considered for a September start.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide power systems engineering support throughout the project planning phase.
• Assist with the development and review of electrical system designs and technical documentation.
• Carry out power system studies, calculations, and network analysis.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.
• Support engineering decision-making and identify potential project risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and best engineering practices.
Candidate Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Power Systems Engineer.
• High Voltage (HV) experience is essential for candidates seeking an August start.
• Experience working on power generation, transmission, distribution, or energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of power system analysis and electrical engineering principles.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English required, German preferred.
