Principal Planner/Planning Team Leader
East Mids – Attendance once every 3 weeks (Hybrid Working)
Up to £65 per hour – OUTSIDE
12-Month Contract
Just 1 Day Per Week in the Office

I’m currently working with a well-established Local Authority in the East Mids area that is looking to appoint an experienced Development Management Team Leader on an interim basis or a Principal Planner that is able to help with sign offs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior planning professional seeking a long-term contract with a high degree of flexibility while leading a small, experienced Development Management team.
Key responsibilities include:
✅ Managing and supporting a team of 2-3 Planning Officers
✅ Major and complex schemes
✅ Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior and senior officers
✅ Ensuring performance targets and statutory deadlines are met
✅ Reviewing committee reports and recommendations
