Key responsibilities include:

  • Attending client meetings, site visits and public consultations where required.
  • Monitoring changes in planning legislation and policy.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

About You
We’re looking for an ambitious Planner who is looking to build on their existing experience within a consultancy or local authority environment.
You’ll ideally have:

  • A Master’s degree in Town Planning or a related RTPI-accredited discipline.
  • Approximately 2–3 years’ professional planning experience.
  • Be working towards RTPI membership, or already progressing via the Associate or Licentiate route towards MRTPI.
  • Experience preparing and submitting planning applications.
  • A sound understanding of the UK planning system and planning policy.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and well-structured reports.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive and commercially aware approach.
  • A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary.
  • Hybrid and flexible working.
  • Full support towards MRTPI accreditation.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Payment of relevant professional membership subscriptions.
  • Generous annual leave.
  • Regular social events and team activities.
  • Clear opportunities for career progression within a growing consultancy.
  • The opportunity to work on a broad range of high-profile planning projects.

Why Apply?
This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner looking to take the next step in their career with a consultancy that values professional development, collaboration and long-term progression. You’ll be given the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work alongside experienced planning professionals and play a key role in delivering successful outcomes for a diverse client base.
If you’re looking for a supportive environment where you can continue to develop your technical expertise and progress towards the next stage of your planning career, we’d love to hear from you.
