About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Offshore Client Representative to join our cable laying project in Denmark. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance are met throughout the project. The position operates on a 6-week on, 6-week off rotation, offering flexibility while contributing to this large-scale offshore project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Termination & Testing (T & T), jointing, and fibre optic cable installation, alongside significant experience in offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Representation: Serve as the key point of contact between the client and the offshore team, ensuring smooth communication and project alignment.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure the quality of all cable laying operations, including jointing and testing, adhering to industry standards and client specifications.
- Safety Management: Monitor all safety procedures and regulations on-site, conducting regular audits to maintain a safe working environment. Implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Cable Laying Supervision: Manage the daily activities of the cable laying team, ensuring efficient and accurate cable installation, including fibre optic and electrical cables.
- Termination & Testing (T & T): Oversee the termination and testing processes, ensuring that electrical and fibre optic connections are properly completed and meet project standards.
- Fibre Optic Expertise: Provide guidance on the installation and testing of fibre optic cables, ensuring they meet the performance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Offshore Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in offshore cable laying or similar projects, with a proven background as a Client Representative or similar role.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in Termination & Testing (T & T) of cables, along with experience in jointing and fibre optic cable installation and troubleshooting.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges and keep the project on track.
