About the Client:
Our client is focussed on providing services for major datacenter builds across Europe, working with the largest clients globally in order to deliver state-of-the-art datacenters.
Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a MEP coordinator to co-ordinate all subcontractors and oversee the next phase of the build relating to installation of cable trays, cable pulling, mechanical equipment, ducts, cooling systems, HVAC systems etc…
Key Responsibilities:
- Join the project building a Microsoft datacenter (post structure build), acting as the MEP coordinator for the next phase of the project relating to the installation of cable trays, cable pulling, mechanical equipment, ducts, cooling systems, HVAC systems etc…
- Co-ordinate all sub-contractors and manage the activities of all people onsite.
- Take care of quality processes together with the Quality Manager, and work closely with the MEP Manager to ensure works are completed on-time, in line with quality standards & expectations, according to the specifications etc.. ensuring each phase of the project is fully completely on-time for the next phase to begin throughout the project and co-ordinate/change plans accordingly – updating the client regularly.
- Provide and stay on top of all attachments surrounding the project, ensuring all documentation is in order.
- The main task is co-ordinating daily activities (scripts), sorting the daily checklist, what needs to be done, following up on the checklist to ensure all is complete, reporting back where not etc…
- Support the handling of issues onsite, update/co-ordinate with all parties involved and the client.
- Utilise your experience working on datacenter projects and your understanding of the process to ensure all is done, adapting to any delays/issues together with the team, working together to provide solutions to ensure the project is completed to high standards and on-time.
- Ensuring the project is delivered relating to the installation of cable trays, cable pulling, HVAC systems, all mechanical equipment, fire fighting systems, water treatment, pumps, cooling systems, balancing of cable ductors, dampers etc..  for the MEP package (more mechanical work than electrical).
- Participate in and hold daily stand-up meetings as well as update meetings, ensuring all parties involved are working together and adapting where necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience as a Construction Manager/Supervisor (MEP) on major datacenter projects.
- Background/experience on projects relating to Mechanical phases.
- English speaking.
