Our client is a specialised engineering and industrial services provider based in Germany, delivering advanced solutions for complex infrastructure and process environments. They support customers across energy, industrial, and utilities sectors with the design, construction, and maintenance of mission-critical systems, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and operational performance.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support the delivery of an Energy Infrastructure project. You will play a key role in management, control and monitoring of national logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management, control and monitoring of national logistics processes, with a focus on road transport and heavy-haul transport
  • Ensuring smooth coordination between customers, transport and logistics service providers and internal departments
  • Rapid analysis and solution-oriented handling of operational disruptions, deviations and escalations in the ongoing transport process
  • Establishing, managing and continuously expanding an efficient network of transport  and logistics service providers
  • Ensuring adherence to schedules, cost budgets and quality standards
  • Actively supporting the optimisation of existing logistics processes and the implementation of efficient work and management methods
  • Coordination of operational workflows and monitoring of goal achievement within the area of responsibility
  • Supplier management: selection, evaluation, support and continuous development of transport and logistics partners
  • Participation in contract and price negotiations with transport and heavy-haul service providers
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and safety regulations in the transport sector

Candidate Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in Germany as a freelancer (EU passport or German residency)
  • 4+ years of professional experience in domestic logistics, ideally with a focus on road and heavy-haul transport
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics processes
  • Experience in establishing, maintaining and managing supplier and partner networks
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Very good written and spoken English and German
  • Proficiency with MS Office and common logistics and scheduling systems
 
  • A degree in logistics, international trade, business administration, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in heavy-haul, project, or special transport environments
  • Knowledge of relevant transport, contractual, and safety regulations
  • Experience in the development of logistics key performance indicators (KPIs) and process reporting

Contract Details
Location: 4 days in the Berlin office every week, 1 day remote
Duration: 12 month contract with high possibility for extensions based on project needs
Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate based on experience and qualification
