Interim Estates Surveyor

A local authority in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Interim Estates Surveyor for a 12-month contract. The role can primarily be done remotely, with occasional on-site visits as needed. Key responsibilities include:

  • General estates management across the council’s property portfolio.
  • Handling lease renewals, ensuring terms are favourable and align with market conditions.
  • Conducting rent reviews to maximize income from the council’s assets.
  • Managing property disposals, including valuation, marketing, and negotiation processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public sector estates management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently. A RICS qualification would be favourable, but not necessary.
