Interim CFO Role
Location: Ghent, Belgium
Start: August 2026
Contract: Interim / Freelance
Working Pattern: 5 days per week on-site initially
The Role
We are supporting a medium-sized business in Ghent seeking an experienced Interim CFO to lead the finance function during a key transformation, including the migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end finance function.
- Manage and support the finance team across accounting, controlling, reporting, and FP&A.
- Act as the finance lead for the Business Central migration and implementation.
- Ensure effective financial reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive business performance and process improvements.
- Coordinate with external implementation partners and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader.
- Strong track record delivering ERP implementations, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Experience leading finance teams through periods of change and transformation.
- Hands-on approach with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent Dutch is essential.
- English language skills are a strong advantage.
