Instrumentation Technician
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to support field verification, loop testing, and calibration activities on industrial control systems. This role focuses on checking and validating completed installations, ensuring instruments and signals are correctly connected and fully operational with the DCS.
Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections to verify instrument connections, cabling, and overall installation quality.
- Conduct loop testing and full calibration of instruments, including flow and pressure measurement devices.
- Use testing equipment (e.g. multimeters) to check signals, polarity, and cable continuity.
- Validate that all instruments are correctly interfaced and communicating.
- Collaborate with DCS/controls personnel to ensure proper loop functionality and signal integrity.
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician in industrial environments.
- Proven experience with loop testing, calibration, and signal verification (including polarity checks).
- Strong knowledge of flow and pressure instruments and their calibration methods.
- Ability to use testing tools as multimeters and interpret technical diagrams.
- Valid VCA certification (mandatory).
