Job Title – Interim Indirect Sourcing Specialist
Start Date – 1st September
Location – Leuven, Belgium (3 days per week on-site)
Duration– 7 Month Contract
Contract Type – Interim / Freelance

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Sourcing Specialist to join our client on an interim basis. Following a recent organisational restructure, this role will support the day-to-day management of indirect sourcing activities across multiple business functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of internal sourcing requirements, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the timely procurement of indirect goods and services. This is a hands-on role focused on operational sourcing and supplier management and does not include direct people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day indirect sourcing activities across a variety of internal business functions.
  • Support sourcing requirements relating to HR services, contractors, facilities and other indirect spend categories.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and deliver sourcing solutions.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including supplier selection, negotiations and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate sourcing activities for external contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Support the optimisation of sourcing processes following the recent organisational split.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate sourcing documentation and procurement records.

Skills

  • Proven experience in an Indirect Sourcing, Procurement or Category Management role.
  • Experience managing indirect spend categories such as HR services, contractors, facilities or general business services.
  • Strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working independently without direct team management responsibilities.
  • Professional level English is essential; Dutch is advantageous.
