We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Options Team Leader to join a busy local authority housing service in Surrey.
The successful candidate will lead a team delivering homelessness prevention, housing advice, and statutory housing duties, ensuring compliance with the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act, and associated legislation. You will provide day-to-day supervision, support complex case management, oversee performance, and drive service improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and supporting a team of Housing Options Officers
- Overseeing homelessness assessments and prevention duties
- Ensuring statutory compliance and quality assurance
- Handling complex cases and escalations
- Monitoring team performance and service delivery targets
To be considered, you will have:
- Previous experience managing or supervising a Housing Options/Homelessness team
- Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and housing law
- Experience handling complex homelessness cases
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
