A leading international company operating within the manufacturing sector is undertaking a large-scale data transformation programme to modernise its data landscape. The organisation is investing in a new data platform to enhance Business Intelligence, reporting and analytics capabilities across the business.

Role Overview

As a Functional Analyst BI, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s data transformation programme. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams and developers to gather requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications and ensure Business Intelligence solutions effectively support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements related to Business Intelligence, reporting and analytics.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, data teams and development teams.
• Collaborate closely with Power BI developers to ensure reporting solutions meet business requirements.
• Analyse and optimise existing reporting processes and business workflows.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
• Support the successful delivery of the new data platform and BI initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Functional Analyst.
• Proven experience working on Business Intelligence projects.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional project teams.
• Fluent in English.
• Dutch and/or French is considered an advantage.

Essential

• 5+ years’ experience as a Functional Analyst.
• Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting projects.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Fluent in English.

Desirable

• Experience working with Power BI environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale data transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and user story creation.
• Dutch and/or French language skills.

• Start date: September 2026.
• Duration: 12 months.
• Availability: 40 hours per week.
