System Architect – Flight Control Computing Systems

We’re supporting a leading aerospace organisation in the search for a System Architect to work on safety-critical flight control computing systems and electronic equipment. This role sits at system level, focusing on architecture, requirements, integration, and certification activities rather than software coding.
Key Responsibilities
- Define system architecture for flight control computers and avionics equipment.
- Capture, analyse, and manage system requirements.
- Develop functional and physical system architectures.
- Coordinate hardware, software, systems, and certification teams.
- Support verification, validation, and integration activities.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and certification requirements.
- Produce architecture documentation and technical specifications.
Required Experience
- Strong background in Systems Engineering/System Architecture within aerospace or other safety-critical industries.
- Experience with avionics equipment, electronic control units, or flight-critical systems.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycles and software architecture principles.
- Requirements management and traceability experience.
- Knowledge of systems integration and certification processes.
