Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Business Transformation Consultant to support a major SAP transformation programme at our manufacturing operations in Lens, France.
This is a hands-on role requiring a consultant who can both provide subject matter expertise and actively contribute to project execution. The successful candidate will bridge current resource gaps, support business users throughout the transition to SAP S/4HANA, and help ensure a successful adoption of new processes and systems.
The role combines functional SAP expertise, change enablement, user support, and project delivery activities. We are looking for someone who can operate effectively at both strategic and detailed levels, working closely with end users, key stakeholders, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
SAP S/4HANA Functional Support
- Provide expert support across SAP S/4HANA business processes, with particular focus on:
- Finance
- Sales and Distribution
- Logistics and Supply Chain
- Manufacturing / Production
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders during the SAP transformation.
- Support process reviews, gap analysis, and business readiness activities.
- Assist business teams in understanding and adopting new S/4HANA processes.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Prepare and document UAT scenarios, scripts, and test cases.
- Coordinate and execute UAT activities with business users.
- Perform testing directly where resource constraints exist.
- Support defect identification, documentation, prioritisation, and resolution.
- Track testing progress and provide status reporting to project leadership.
Data Readiness & Cleansing
- Support business teams with data quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in data cleansing, validation, and preparation activities.
- Ensure data readiness for migration and business go-live requirements.
Business Enablement & Change Support
- Coach and enable internal staff to work effectively within SAP S/4HANA.
- Deliver knowledge transfer and practical guidance to business users.
- Support process ownership and capability development within the organisation.
- Help drive user adoption and business readiness for the transition.
Hands-On Project Delivery
- Actively undertake project tasks rather than solely providing advisory support.
- Work alongside operational teams to complete activities required for successful project delivery.
- Provide additional capacity in areas where internal resources are limited.
- Support go-live preparation and stabilisation activities as required.
Required Experience
- Significant experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.
- Strong functional knowledge across:
- SAP S/4HANA Finance
- SAP S/4HANA Sales
- SAP S/4HANA Logistics
- SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing / Production
- Proven experience supporting User Acceptance Testing programmes.
- Experience preparing and executing test cases and test scripts.
- Demonstrated involvement in data cleansing and data migration readiness activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed execution levels.
