About the role
Our client is looking for an experienced Freelance Power BI Developer to join their team in Den Haag on an initial contract through to the end of the year.
The required reporting and dashboard specifications are already defined, meaning the focus of this assignment is on the implementation and delivery of Power BI solutions.
You will work across Finance and IT reporting, developing new dashboards, enhancing existing solutions and supporting users with testing and adoption. The role will also involve data modelling, transformation and troubleshooting, alongside transferring knowledge to internal teams.
Main responsibilities
- Build new Power BI dashboards based on established requirements
- Customise and enhance existing Power BI dashboards
- Develop reporting solutions for Finance and IT
- Set up datasets and data models
- Retrieve, transform and prepare data for reporting
- Support users with testing and adoption of new and existing dashboards
- Resolve technical issues within existing Power BI solutions
- Provide clear documentation for delivered dashboards and reporting solutions
- Transfer knowledge and best practices to internal employees
- Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions meet business requirements
Requirements
- At least 3 years of demonstrable Power BI development experience
- Strong experience developing management and operational dashboards
- Solid understanding of data modelling
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with Power Query
- Good command of Dutch
- Available to work 40 hours per week
- Hands-on and proactive approach to problem solving
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders
Desirable experience
- Microsoft Fabric
- Financial reporting
- IT reporting
- Qlik-to-Power BI migrations
- Working within larger organisations with complex stakeholder environments
