Freelance LLM Engineer / AI Engineer
We’re currently looking for an experienced LLM Engineer / AI Engineer to join a long-term AI transformation programme with a global pharmaceutical company. This is an opportunity to help shape the adoption of AI across the organisation, designing solutions that automate business processes and enhance the software development lifecycle rather than simply building LLM applications.
Near Antwerp (3 days/week on-site)

Responsibilities
🔹 Design and implement AI and LLM solutions to support enterprise-wide AI adoption
🔹 Identify opportunities to automate and simplify business processes using Generative AI
🔹 Define AI architecture and best practices for software development teams
🔹 Build and integrate LLM-based applications and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers
🔹 Collaborate with software engineers to improve and automate the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
🔹 Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive AI innovation across the organisation
Requirements
🔹 Experience as an AI Engineer, LLM Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or similar role
🔹 Strong experience with Python and modern LLM frameworks such as LangChain
🔹 Experience working with Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Claude or similar AI tools is an advantageÂ
🔹 Experience building or working with MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers is highly desirable
🔹 Knowledge of FastAPI and modern software engineering practices
🔹 Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift and Argo CD
🔹 Strong architectural mindset with the ability to introduce new AI methodologies and ways of working
🔹 Curiosity, excellent communication skills and a passion for driving AI adoption
