Freelance HSE Manager (SiFa) – Water Treatment | Frankfurt, Germany | 6-Month Contract
We’re supporting a leading organisation within the water treatment sector in their search for an experienced Freelance HSE Manager (SiFa) to join a major project in the Frankfurt region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health, Safety & Environmental professional to play a key role in maintaining the highest HSE standards on a technically complex project. You’ll be responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with German legislation and supporting project teams throughout the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Health, Safety & Environmental activities across the project.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with German HSE legislation and site safety requirements.
- Carry out risk assessments, site inspections and safety audits.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Advise project managers, contractors and stakeholders on HSE best practice.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings where required.
- Produce and maintain HSE documentation and reports.
- Build strong relationships with project stakeholders to ensure safe delivery.
Requirements
- Recognised SiFa (Sicherheitsfachkraft) qualification.
- Proven experience as an HSE Manager, EHS Manager or Health & Safety Manager.
- Previous experience within the water treatment, utilities, industrial or process engineering sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of German HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent German language skills are essential.
- Ability to start at short notice.
Contract Details
- Location: Frankfurt, Germany
- Contract Length: Initial 6-month freelance contract with possibility of extension
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Rate: Competitive
