We are looking for an experienced Freelance Consolidation Specialist to support the central consolidation team on a 6‑month on‑site assignment in Ghent (5 days per week).
You will support the group consolidation process and act as the operational link between local finance teams and consolidated IFRS reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, validate and prepare local reporting packages from Microsoft Dynamics 365 and load data into Oracle HFM.
- Monitor consolidation timelines, data completeness and follow up with local entities.
- Perform consolidation adjustments and GAAP‑to‑IFRS entries (intercompany eliminations, equity, dividends, IFRS 16, accruals).
- Ensure intercompany alignment and resolve discrepancies with local accounting teams.
- Perform analytical reviews of consolidated figures and explain variances.
- Support consolidated reporting, audit preparation and process improvements.
Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or Economics.
- 3–5+ years of experience in consolidation, IFRS reporting or group accounting.
- Solid IFRS knowledge and experience with GAAP‑to‑IFRS adjustments.
- Familiar with BE GAAP and IFRS
- Experience with Oracle HFM and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a strong asset.
- Strong Excel skills and a structured, hands‑on mindset.
- Able to work fully on‑site in Ghent for the duration of the assignment.
