Food Safety Officer | Interim Contract | Norfolk
A local authority client in Norfolk is looking for an experienced Food Safety Officer to come in and hit the ground running within their Environmental Health team.
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking food hygiene inspections and interventions in line with the Food Law Code of Practice.
- Investigating food complaints and food poisoning incidents.
- Providing advice and guidance to food businesses to ensure compliance with food safety legislation.
- Supporting wider Environmental Health functions where required.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Recent local authority Food Safety experience.
- Competency to carry out Category A-D food hygiene inspections.
- Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and the Food Law Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
