A West Midlands local authority is seeking an experienced Locum Contracts & Procurement Solicitor to join their legal team on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a part-time opportunity, offering flexibility alongside a varied and interesting caseload across the council.
The role will involve:
- Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts and procurement matters
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for goods, services and works
- Supporting client departments on procurement processes and compliance
- Advising on contract variations, extensions and terminations
- Providing general commercial legal support across multiple service areas
About you:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with local authority experience
- Strong background in contracts and procurement law
- Comfortable handling a mixed caseload with minimal supervision
- Able to work part-time and hit the ground running
