A West Midlands local authority is seeking an experienced Locum Contracts & Procurement Solicitor to join their legal team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a part-time opportunity, offering flexibility alongside a varied and interesting caseload across the council.

The role will involve:

  • Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts and procurement matters
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for goods, services and works
  • Supporting client departments on procurement processes and compliance
  • Advising on contract variations, extensions and terminations
  • Providing general commercial legal support across multiple service areas

About you:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with local authority experience
  • Strong background in contracts and procurement law
  • Comfortable handling a mixed caseload with minimal supervision
  • Able to work part-time and hit the ground running
