Role Overview
We are seeking a Civil Work Preparator to support the preparation and coordination of concrete and rebar foundation works for scaffolding on an industrial project in the Groningen area.
You will be responsible for preparing civil construction activities, ensuring that drawings, materials, work packages, schedules, and site requirements are properly coordinated before execution. This role requires a strong background in industrial civil works, with practical experience involving concrete, reinforcement/rebar, and foundation construction.
Key Responsibilities
Join the project team as Civil Work Preparator, supporting the preparation and execution of civil works across the project scope.
- Prepare and coordinate civil work packages for concrete and rebar foundation activities
- Support the delivery of concrete and reinforced foundations for scaffolding structures
- Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documentation
- Prepare material requirements, quantities, and documentation for concrete, reinforcement steel, formwork, and associated civil works
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, site supervision, and subcontractor teams to ensure works are ready for execution
- Identify technical issues, clashes, and missing information before construction activities commence
- Ensure required materials, equipment, permits, drawings, and resources are available in accordance with the construction schedule
- Support the preparation and coordination of work methods, task plans, and construction sequences
- Monitor progress of civil works and support the resolution of site-based technical and planning issues
- Ensure works are prepared in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors regarding materials, deliveries, and execution requirements
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, revisions, material records, and work packages
- Support inspections and handover activities for completed concrete and foundation works
- Ensure health & safety requirements are incorporated into the preparation and execution of all civil activities
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Civil Work Preparator, Werkvoorbereider, or similar position within industrial construction
- Strong experience with industrial civil works
- Practical knowledge of concrete construction, reinforcement/rebar, foundations, and formwork
- Experience preparing and coordinating concrete and rebar foundations
- Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings and technical specifications
- Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and site personnel
- Strong planning, organisation, and coordination capabilities
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, materials, quantities, and work preparation
- Strong awareness of health, safety, and quality requirements within industrial construction environments
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven approach
- Relevant civil engineering, construction, or technical qualification
- Dutch speaking is essential
- Available to work 5 days per week on site in the Groningen area
- Available to start ASAP
