Capital & Treasury Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Capital / Treasury Accountant to support a local authority finance team on an interim basis.

Key areas

• Capital programme monitoring and funding
• Local authority borrowing, including PWLB
• Treasury management and investments
• Financial analysis and reporting
• Supporting the wider finance team

A significant part of the workload will involve LGR. This will involve work around how the existing capital programme, funding and finances are split across the new authorities. They can rejig the role to suit the ideal candidate, whether they have stronger experience in capital or treasury.

Ideal background:

• Strong local authority finance experience
• Capital and/or Treasury expertise
• Able to work independently and quickly add value
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment

• 12-18month contract
• Fully Remote 
• Lucrative Day Rate
