About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a major consulting organization supporting a large airline customer through a significant AI and technology modernization initiative.
This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, emerging AI capabilities and application modernization. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand complex problems, identify opportunities for improvement and translate those requirements into practical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working with Agentic AI, Generative AI or AI-driven solutions, combined with experience supporting application or platform modernization initiatives.
This is a highly stakeholder-facing role, so we’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply take requirements at face value. You should be naturally curious, comfortable probing into a problem, asking difficult questions and going the extra mile to understand what the customer actually needs.
Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with airline business and technology stakeholders to understand business challenges, objectives and desired outcomes.
• Lead discovery sessions, workshops and stakeholder interviews to identify requirements and opportunities.
• Analyze existing applications, platforms and business processes to identify modernization opportunities.
• Help identify and define opportunities for Agentic AI, Generative AI and intelligent automation.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable requirements for technical and development teams.
• Challenge assumptions and probe beyond the initial requirement to uncover the underlying business problem.
• Work closely with architects, developers, data teams and AI specialists to shape potential solutions.
• Support the evaluation and prioritization of AI use cases based on business value, feasibility and customer needs.
• Create business requirements, process flows, use cases, user stories and supporting documentation.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Support solution design, prototyping, testing and implementation activities.
• Help ensure solutions are aligned with the customer’s broader application and platform modernization strategy.
• Manage competing stakeholder priorities and communicate progress, risks and dependencies effectively.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the customer, going beyond simply documenting requirements to help drive the right outcome.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
• 2+ years of experience working with AI initiatives, ideally including:
  • Agentic AI
  • AI Agents
  • Generative AI
  • LLM-based applications
  • Intelligent automation
  • AI-enabled workflows
• Experience supporting application modernization, legacy transformation or platform modernization initiatives.
• Strong experience gathering and translating business requirements.
• Proven ability to work with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Excellent workshop facilitation, discovery and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise or consulting environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within airlines, aviation, transportation or travel.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise application modernization.
• Experience working with cloud modernization initiatives.
• Experience with AI/ML product development or implementation.
• Experience working with AI agents, multi-agent systems or agentic workflows.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, cloud platforms and modern application architectures.
• Consulting or professional services experience.
