They provide independent technical expertise across renewable energy, energy storage, power systems, and large-scale infrastructure projects, helping clients develop and deliver innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Consultant (BESS) to support the delivery of Battery Energy Storage System projects across Europe. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise throughout project lifecycles, working closely with internal engineering teams, developers, investors, and project stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant or engineer with strong energy storage knowledge looking to contribute to the growing BESS market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical consultancy support on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
- Review and assess BESS technologies, designs, and project specifications
- Support project delivery activities from development through to execution
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, engineering teams, and clients
- Provide technical risk assessments and recommendations
- Support project management and technical due diligence activities
- Contribute to engineering studies, reports, and client deliverables
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Support the growth and development of energy storage consultancy services
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience within Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Previous BESS consultancy experience preferred
- BESS engineering experience will also be considered
- Project management experience within energy or infrastructure sectors
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary project environment
- Fluent English required
- German highly preferred
- Dutch would be advantageous for candidates based in the Netherlands
Contract Details:
- Location:Â Dresden, Germany preferred, Arnhem, Netherlands also possible
- Duration:Â Initial 6 month contract
- Start:Â August 2026 (subject to onboarding arrangements)
- Working Hours:Â Approximately 37.5-40 hours per week
- Working Pattern:Â 3-5 days per week
- Rate:Â Negotiable
