We are currently recruiting for an experienced Benefits Assessment Officer on a 6-month contract, working fully remotely.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience assessing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims.
- Academy Benefits System experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction legislation.
- Experience processing new claims, changes in circumstances, and reviews.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Key Duties
- Assess and process Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims.
- Calculate entitlement in accordance with current legislation and local policies.
- Process changes of circumstances, reviews, and reassessments.
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve benefit-related queries.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure performance targets are met.
This role is ideal for an experienced Benefits Officer who can quickly integrate into a team and deliver high-quality assessments with minimal supervision.
